Kendall Meyer
Wednesday July 16th

Kendall Meyer was born and raised in rural Iowa. A child of country and rock radio, Kendall grew up listening to Keith Whitley, George Straight, John Michael Montgomery, Steve Earl, John Cougar Mellencamp and Michael W. Smith. At the age of 17, Kendall's love for music helped him through the loss of a dear friend. This moment changed his entire perspective, gave him an emotional foundation and prompted him to devote his life to music.

Kendall began his career by playing guitar, singing in local bands and was a consistent face and winner in Karaoke competitions. Kendall performs original music, country classics, and hot new modern favorites. He has two successful cd's under his belt. The first cd featured a song called, "If the Law Don't Get Me", that received substantial airtime. His second cd, "Man Behind the Wheel", has received Music Connection Magazine's highest demo critique to date, 7.8. "Backed by Nashville Cats, Meyer proves himself a polished performer with a sturdy voice. "Ghost in the Radio" glides through a gallery of vintage imagery from country's music haunted landscape. "Not that Far" is a wistful ballad that Meyer and company put a perfect touch on. An uplifting love song, "Hold on Virginia" has an ascending melody line that's popular with the live audiences who've made this unsigned act a Midwest moneymaker."

Kendall continues to passionately devote his life to music as a full time musician by performing at hundreds of shows every year from small town bars to huge out door fairs and festivals. Kendall has shared the stage with many top artists including Mark Wills, Highway 101, Brad Paisley, Lonestar, Great Divide, Rhett Atkins, Daryl Singletary, Wade Hayes, Jessica Andrews, Emerson Drive, Trick Pony, Andy Griggs, Kentucky Headhunters, Chris Ledoux, The Charlie Daniels Band, Doug Stone and Blue Country.

Kendall has performed as Kendall Meyer, Kendall Obermier and Common Ground.
